I think the biggest reason the government won't legalize it is simply because they would have to answer to all the people who have been locked up for years of their life. Like how could you? say,"oh by the way Jimmy, weed's legal now so you can leave jail.". But Jimmy would be out of a job, probably have little to zero money, would have to move towns, and basically it would be really hard for him to get his life back together.

@fatprick44 Listen, pothead is such a harsh term, stoner is a nicer term in my opinion but weed makes you realize half the things you do could be a waste? of time. It really depends on your personality. When I'm stoned I focus on my friends and try to make them laugh. I want to be a comedian but also, I like researching about the heavens. Heavens as in space because it's a really big world out there and weed opens up your mind. Don't base the entire population of pot smokers on your town.

@newyork1969ful The fact that it? causes "effects" when you use it makes it a drug. Same as caffine, alcohol and nicotine are drugs. (i smoke and used to wonder why people called it a drug. But, this is the small explaination that my doctor gave me.)

Im all from Legalization but marijuana and war time just does not mix, thats a good way to get yourself killed, My dad is a vietnam vet and he is not anti weed but he did tell me over half of his? friends that kept getting stoned in vietnam ended up dying or shot.
