@LemonZeppelin Thanks for your honsesty. I've noticed in my life that many? people who do not use any form of a drug are tolerant of those who use them responsibly. The 40year War on Drugs has created so much hypocracy that even non drug user like yourself or my Dad have come to see the need for a major reform of U.S. drug policy.

@HalloFusilli Well I do see what you're talking about,? and yeah that definitely would classify as "drug abuse" to me, which is very different from drug use. A dependency on anything used only to escape your problems certainly isn't a good thing. But if their life is bad enough to need escape, then at least drugs can offer them something to live and be excited for. Problems should always be faced head on I agree with you their

@TheOunceler the boredom, from the lack of intellectual power and curiosity? and/or from an emotional dullness of their lives. Most, unlike you, do not hold that romanticized view from some intellectual standpoint. Most are pretty mindless buffoons that value them since it allows them to escape that dull world of theirs. Their own dullness. If you Ounceler, use them constructively as you have said, then you are an exception. Unlike most people I have known in my life that have used or use.

A weakness wishes to run away while strength faces? and attempts to conquer. To conquer through understanding. Keep in mind that I have said for the most part, I do not speak in such strict terms. I do not doubt that there are quality minds that may use particular mind-expanding drugs frequently simply because of their what they have to offer. But this really isn't the case in most cases. In most cases a person holds that very romanticized view because they such an escape from the dullness,

@HalloFusilli so its actually quite the opposite of what you said. I also use them frequently, not an "every once in a while" thing. I find? it opens my brain to different things. I think more clearly, and my perceptive on things is different. It's refreshing.. I don't think everyone who uses drugs is running away from their problems, and even if they are who are you to judge?

@HalloFusilli So I'm still unsure as to why you think "escaping" the harsh realities of the world is looked as weak? I see no difference between anesthetizing yoursef from your troubles, and using a substance to achieve the same thing(basically). You just seem to have a warped view of people who use drugs. Live and let live, my friend. I use drugs to alter my perception, and to think differently. It helps me create ideas and things. It doesnt limit my mind,? but helps expand it.

@HalloFusilli is enthralled by the barrage after barrage of questions which? constantly assault it. A mind with a strong capacity for curiosity/wonder. A mind that does not wish to so often alter itself from some sort of boredom.
By: HalloFusilli. on 06 Feb 12, 12:46:50
@TheOunceler What I don't respect is a mind that constantly endeavors to escape and not meet face to face with its troubles to fight and try valiantly to win against them. There is a difference between relaxing and anesthetizing yourself from your troubles. To many people have such a romanticized view? of these substances because they find life a bore, either intellectually or emotionally or both. This is reserved for low-caliber minds. A high caliber mind, a quality mind,

Great!!!?
By: TheOunceler. on 06 Feb 12, 05:29:38
@HalloFusilli I don't agree with you. Everyone has things they use to escape their troubles, or to help them relax. I don't really think using a substance makes you stupid? or depressed. I don't see why you find it immoral to "modify your mind" or alter your perception. Whats the difference between that or people using other methods to clear their mind?

@LemonZeppelin the only dangerous thing about drugs? is that you cant be sure of what your taking or a definite dosage for yourself as an individual... both results of their illegal status

"The basic thing nobody asks is why do people take drugs of any sort? Why do we have these accessories to normal living to live? I mean, is there something wrong with society that's making us so pressurized, that we cannot live without guarding? ourselves against it?" -- John Lennon

@LemonZeppelin i recommend using drugs that are relatively safe and not addictive. weed is your best bet, next comes Acid, DMT, and mushrooms. all 4 are mind expanding, physically harmless, and wont make you a drug addict but you have to be? careful with them(except for weed, weed is practically harmless). psychedelics can be a very good or very bad experience. go research them.

Kay? Kay.?
By: HalloFusilli. on 02 Feb 12, 16:11:56
@MWorsa If you need to modify your mind in order to somehow make life interesting, either intellectually or emotionally then yes you are weak. Using them once in a while for an interesting alteration of? perception I have no problem. Once in a while. Like skydiving or drag racing. Otherwise, how weak of a mind do you have to have in order to find life a bore intellectually or how weak of a constitution to find life so joyless, meaningless, etc.

@HalloFusilli Not sure If you are being? sarcastic, Or just a soberest.
By: MWorsa. on 02 Feb 12, 06:12:11
@HalloFusilli By your logic, I suppose jumping out of perfectly functioning airplanes and drag racing are for the weak.? And I'm sure you don't drink alcohol or coffee.
